Step Outside--- Enjoy Nature
January 2010--- May 2010
Get inspired to go outside and take a deep breath of fresh air! Our new exhibit in the Museum Cove, located in the Children's Department of the Northport Library, challenges you to do just that. The outdoor world of Long Island has so much to offer, no matter what the season, and we will be highlighting some of the simple ways to connect with nature right in our own backyards. From mid-January through May, we will be partnering with the Islip-based Seatuck Environmental Association to bring colorful displays and thought-provoking programs to our Library for people of all ages to enjoy. Our goal: to have no child - or adult - left inside!
Your child's early experiences with books and language lay the foundation for success in learning to read.
