Programs for Parents

The Northport-East Northport Public Library and the Northport-East Northport School District continue to partner in an effort to provide programs and resources to the community. . All Parent Center programs are supported by an extensive collection of books and videos, on a wide variety of parenting topics, housed in the Northport-East Northport Public Library. Established in the 1980's, this extensive collection addresses all aspects of child growth and development and the process of parenting children from birth through adolescence. Parents unable to attend workshops will find current information and support on program topics in this up to date collection.
Parent Center programs are free of charge and all district residents are welcome. The Parent Center is largely supported by federal and state grant monies. Workshops will be held at the Northport Public Library (N), East Northport Public Library (EN) or Northport Middle School (NMS) Sept - May. Registration will take place at the public library approximately two weeks in advance of each program. For further information, see the Library's monthly newsletter or call the Children's Services Department at 261-6930.
