At the Library
Imagination Center - This creative playhouse, located at the Northport Library, invites young children to play with puppets and use their imaginations.
Read to Your Bunny Corner - A cozy reading area, featuring the artwork of award-winning children's author/illustrator Rosemary Wells, has been created in the East Northport Library.
Museum Cove - Located at the Northport Library, this specially designed place for school-age children features changing exhibits prepared in partnership with local museums and organizations.
Computer Stations - Computer stations are located in the Children's Rooms and Teen Centers of each building, and age-appropriate games, learning software, and desktop publishing programs are available.
Puzzle Tables - Educational puzzles are available in both libraries.
Library Cafe - The Library Cafes, located near the fireplaces in both the Northport and East Northport buildings, offer coffee, tea, juice, and a variety of snacks.
Library Courtyard - Dedicated in 2006, this specially designed outdoor space offers tables and chairs for reading, snacking, and socializing. Special programs and performances are also held in the Courtyard. Open seasonally.
