Computer Resources for Children

The Northport-East Northport Public Library offers a wide array of computer services to children by providing computer stations throughout each Children's Room. Age-appropriate learning software and desktop publishing programs are available.

" Live Librarian"

When you have a question you can chat online with a "Live Librarian" and receive help with your research during the "Live Librarian" hours.
Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m.-11 p.m., and Sunday 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. The "Live Librarian" service is a cooperative project of the public libraries of Suffolk County.

Click on "Homework Help" for websites selected for specific classroom assignments. A committee of Suffolk County Children's Librarians reviews and selects websites of interest to school-aged "Kids," "Preschoolers," "Parents," and "Educators".
