The Circulation Center, located near the entrance of both buildings, is where you can apply for a library card, check out and return materials, pick up the items that you placed on hold, and sign up for adult and young adult programs. The staff at the Circulation Center can direct you to other library services in the building and, most importantly, to the people who can best serve you.
Book Drops
For your convenience, books drops are available 24 hours a day. Located in the rear parking lot of both buildings, there are seperate drops for books and audiovisual materials.

You can view your own record either at the library on the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) or at home through the Library's website. By using this convenient feature, you can view a list of your checked-out items (and their due dates), your reserved items, any fines you may have incurred, and the expiration date of your library card. You also have the option of activating a text message alert feature for your account.
Interlibrary Loans
If you cannot find the particular book or item you need within our library, the Adult or Children's Reference Departments will try to borrow it for you from another library. When material arrives, you will be notified and it will be held at the Circulation Center. Most interlibrary loans can be renewed.
At the Circulation Center you may apply for a new card, update or replace a lost one, or with parental permission, add additional privileges to a child's card.
Lost or Damaged Materials
If you happen to lose or damage material that you have borrowed from the Library, you will be charged the replacement price of the item. We ask that you do not replace the item yourself. Once an item is paid for, we do not issue refunds.
Program Registrations
When pre-registration or tickets are required, most adult and young adult program sign-ups are handled at the Circulation Center. Enrollment in programs is limited, with preference given to our library cardholders.
Request a Hold
If a particular library item is unavailable you may ask to be put on a waiting list. In the library, holds may be placed at the Reference Desk, the Children's Reference Desk or on the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). At home, you can request to put a hold on an item through the catalog available on the library's website.
We will notify you by phone when the item is available. Items are picked up at the Circulation Center.
Renew
If you need more time, most materials may be renewed. Items can be renewed at the Circulation desk, online through the library's website and by phone. Items cannot be renewed if there is a waiting list or if the renewal limit has been exceded.
