Explore exciting topics, learn a new skill, share your opinion, or be entertained.

 

Beach Bag Books

Catch up on your reading while you catch some sun at the beach! From Memorial Day to Labor Day you can grab a paperback from the Library’s Beach Bag Books kiosk located at the Town of Huntington
beach at Crab Meadow. 


Children's Programs

A year-round programming schedule planned by professional Children's Librarians includes storytimes, family programs, live entertainment, craft workshops, musical programs, book discussions, and much more.


Teen Programs

Teens may enjoy a variety of Library programs including author visits, craft workshops, performances, volunteer opportunities, and more.


Art at the Library

The Library buildings and grounds feature photographs, paintings, and sculpture that have been commissioned or acquired by the Library.

 

Displays

The Library selects and presents monthly exhibits of local artistic, cultural and informational interest.


Equipment Available for Public Use in the Library

Computers, printers, FAX machines, photocopiers and a variety of assistive devices are available in the Library.

Freshly brewed coffee, tea, a variety of beverages, juice, and delicious baked goods top off the menu of items that can be purchased for your enjoyment.


Library Courtyard

A 3,000 square foot outdoor space added to the Northport Library building.


Meeting Rooms

The Library meeting rooms, with state-of-the-art equipment and performance space, are available for use by community groups.

Read, Ride, Return

The next time you board a train from the Northport Railroad Station why not take along a paperback book to enjoy on your trip from the Library's Read ... Ride ... Return shelves located in the station. Mysteries, suspense, romance, and other popular fiction are among the titles that commuters have enjoyed since the Read ... Ride ... Return program began in 1989.

 

Taking the Stacks to the Streets

Taking the Stacks to the Streets is a community outreach program designed to increase the Library’s visibility in the community and provide further services to our patrons.
