See our newsletter for more detailed information. Computer Kindergarten for Adults This is a basic, user-friendly workshop for first-time computer users. Using IBM-compatible computers, this class covers the basics in a way that even the most inexperienced user will understand. The workshop covers turning the computer on, navigating the Windows desktop, using the mouse, opening programs, saving a file, and turning the computer off. See the newsletter for upcoming classes. Computer 1st Grade for Adults A follow-up to Computer Kindergarten, this hands-on workshop covers basic word processing skills such as inputting, inserting, moving and erasing text. Prerequisite: Computer Kindergarten for Adults. Computer 2nd Grade for Adults This workshop gives an introduction to basic spreadsheet techniques, creating a workbook, inputting data, editing data, using formulas and functions, working with columns and rows, and formatting and designing spreadsheets. Prerequisite: Computer 1st Grade for Adults. Computer 3rd Grade for Adults A follow-up to Computer 2nd Grade, this hands-on class covers the use of the copy, paste, and cut commands within and between documents. Copying both text and graphics is addressed. See the newsletter for upcoming classes.

Introduction to Microsoft Word Designed for the word-processing novice, this introductory workshop covers such basic topics as screen navigation, creating and saving files, editing an existing file, and formatting text. See the newsletter for upcoming classes. Microsoft Word- Intermediate Librarians from the Computer Services Department have designed a sequel to the popular Introduction to Microsoft Word workshop. In this workshop they demonstrate borders and shading, tabs, pagination, inserting bullets and numbering and building and formatting tables.See the newsletter for upcoming classes. |
