The Media Services Department develops and maintains the video, DVD, audiocassette, and compact disc collections. These resources are housed in the Media Centers located in each of the Northport-East Northport Library Buildings.

The simplest way to listen to an audio book on the go. It comes with the book already on it and a battery to make it play. Simply plug in its earphones and enjoy. No cassettes or CDs. No downloads. There’s nothing left to do but listen.

Downloadable Collection

24/7 access to an online digital collection of audiobooks, videos and music.

DVD DVDs

Entertainment films include adventure, classic, comedy, drama, film noir, western and foreign films. All titles are filed alphabetically.

Non-fiction films include instructional and documentary subjects and are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal System.

Friday Afternoon at the Movies Every Friday, the Library presents a feature-length film that will be shown either at the Northport or East Northport building depending on the Friday. Details are available in the Library newsletter. All films are from the Library's video and DVD collection.
