The Library is currently maintaining Museum passes/vouchers for the following museums. Each museum entry describes their unique admission requirements. American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History has restructured their library museum pass program to a voucher system. Each voucher provides free general admission for one person and admission to one special exhibit, IMAX film or Space Show. Voucher-holding patrons will also receive a discounted rate on additional special exhibition tickets that they purchase on the day of their visit. Register for a voucher online (NENM001) or in person at the Northport Circulation Desk. Vouchers are limited to one per library card per year. Patron’s library card must be in good standing. Vouchers are to be picked up within 30 days of registration at the Northport Circulation Desk. Vouchers are not replaceable and quantities are limited. Restrictions may apply.

The Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum Library Pass entitles 1 family (there is no number or age restriction for this pass) to a free visit to the Whaling Museum. This pass does not include special workshops or lectures. Restrictions may apply.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum pass entitles free admission for up to five adults and accompanying children (under 18 years). Additional guest admission tickets are available for $10 each. The Long Island Children's Museum Library Pass entitles free admisssion for up to four people, must include 1 adult and 1 child (does not have to be a family unit). This pass is good ONLY for admission during normal museum hours. No adults without children, nor children unaccompanied by an adult will be admitted. No other privileges, discounts, licenses or benefits are applicable. Not valid for complimentary nor discounted admission to theater performances, workshops or other special events. Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum

The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum entitles 2 adults and 4 children 18 and under to free general admission to the Vanderbilt Museum grounds, exhibits and mansion tours, and all regularly scheduled planetarium astronomy shows and all regularly scheduled day and evening laser presentations. Discounts at the Gift Shop and discounted on-site library lectures led by our museum guides or curators are included. Restrictions may apply.
The planetarium is undergoing a $3 million renovation project and will be closed August 2011 through March 2012.
