Journals, reports, proceedings, association and issue-oriented newsletters; professional and consumer publications and reference materials from 1990-present are all incorporated into this online health collection.

Ancestry Library Edition (in library use only)

Family history research branches out from here with online access to digitized U.S. Federal census images; obituaries and local newspaper articles; immigration and military records; vital statistics, church records, and more.

ArtFact  (in library use only)

A premiere resource for art auction sales data. The works
indexed can often be found in the Northport Public Library's large and unique collection of art auction catalogs in print. The ArtFact database is a full-text index of 4 million public auction sales results from more than 350 auction houses and includes 54,000 images displayed in 16 million colors. Some full-text information is available. Entries included in the database are unedited, and appear as written by auction house experts. In-library use only.

With national and international listings, this online source for professional opportunities in the arts includes presenting, producing, performing arts, visual arts, academic, internships, fellowships, conferences, and commissions.

Business Source Premier (Home and library access)

includes extensive, specialized research tools including market research, industry and country reports, company profiles, and with indexes, abstracts and full-text from more than 2300 journals dating back to 1965.

College Source Online (in library use only)

More than 19,000 college catalogs in complete cover-to-cover format are in this database. The range encompasses two-year, four-year, graduate and professional schools, nationwide and worldwide.

Community Resources Database of Long Island (Home and library access)

This directory in an up-to-date, comprehensive listing of over 8,500 private, non-profit or government sponsored public agencies and programs on Long Island. It includes information on services for infants, children, teens, adults and senior citizens.

Consumer Health Complete (Home and library access)

is a patient-oriented, full-text database covering all areas of health and wellness including complementary, holistic and integrated medicine.

EBSCO Eldercare (Home and library access)

gives access to proprietary, comprehensive reports on over 90,000 facilities and services including nursing homes, assistive living facilities, home health care programs, adult day care centers and hospice organizations.  Many reports include ratings and rankings

History Reference Center (Home and library access)

features full text for more than 130 leading history periodicals, contains nearly 60,000 historical documents, more than 50,000 biographies, 110,200 historical photos and maps and more than 80 hours of historical video.

Hoovers Online (in library use only)

Hoover's Online is a widely respected service that provides timely and detailed information on over 50,000 public and private companies provided by Dun & Bradstreet. Search for contact information using its advanced search features.

LearningExpressLibrary (Home and library access)

LearningExpress Library provides a completely interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help patrons, students, and adult learners succeed on the academic or licensing tests they must pass.

Literary Reference Center (Home and library access)

is a comprehensive source for author biographies and interviews, plot summaries, work overviews and criticisms; as well as, full-text for thousands of short stories, poems, and classic texts.

MagillOnLiterature (Home and library access)

This database is the definitive, online source for editorially reviewed critical analyses. This database also includes brief plot summaries of the most studied works in the history of literature. MagillOnLiterature contains all of Masterplots and Masterplots II, Cyclopedia of World Authors, Cyclopedia of Literary Characters, Magill's Literary Annual, Magill's Guide to Science Fiction and Fantasy as well as World Philosophers and Their Works.

Middle Search Plus (Home and library access)

features full text for more than 140 magazines geared toward middle schoolers, as well as reference books, primary source documents and an image collection of photos, maps and flags.

full text for 28 national newspapers and 260 regional papers this source includes 170,000 full text television and radio news transcripts.

NextReads (Home and library access)

A fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews and annotations for over 120,000 fiction titles. It includes author read-alikes, book discussion guides and book talks.

P4A Antiques Reference database (in library use only)

A focused on the American regional antiques markets and is organized into 1,280 different subjects including furniture, pottery, prints and historical documents.
