Friday Film: As Good As It Gets

Jack Nicholson gives a show-stopping performance as Melvin Udall, an obsessive-compulsive novelist with Manhattan's meanest mouth. When his neighbor Simon is hospitalized, Melvin is forced to care for Simon's dog. This unexpected act of kindness, along with help from waitress Carol Connelly, returns Melvin to the human race.
