Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches parents/guardians and adults who work with youth (ages 12-18) how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This two-session training is designed to give you the skills to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents who may be developing a mental health related crisis, and help connect them to appropriate care. You must attend both sessions. This program is co-sponsored with the Northport-East Northport Community Drug and Alcohol Task Force.
