DESCRIPTION:NENA743\r\nAARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a free tax counseling a
 nd preparation service helping low- and middle-income taxpayers, with spec
 ial attention to those ages 60 and older.Â This service is administered by
  the AARP Foundation in cooperation with the IRS. Free electronic filing (
 e-filing) is included. Note: AARP Tax-Aide volunteers cannot prepare retur
 ns that include rental property, military income, alternative minimum tax,
  crypto currency, or multiple stock transactions. â€‚\r\nâ€‚Â  Â  Appointm
 ents are required. All appointments will be held on Wednesdays at the East
  Northport Library building, February through April. Please bring your cur
 rent tax records and copies of last yearâ€™s Federal and State tax returns
 , a photo ID, and a Social Security card or another form of Social Securit
 y verification. (Be advised that some tax information, especially brokerag
 e statements, may not be sent until the end of February.) In addition, bri
 ng a copy of your property tax bill; you may qualify for a New York State 
 credit. If filing jointly, both parties must be present. â€‚â€‚â€‚\r\nÂ  Â
   Â  To expedite the preparation process, you must pick up an Intake/Inter
 view Form (#13614-C) at the Adult Reference Desk upon registering and brin
 g the completed form to your appointment.\r\nRegistration for all March ap
 pointments begins February 7. Register online or in-person at the Referenc
 e Desk in either library building. (Northport-East Northport cardholders o
 nly for the first week of registration.)
