Reading Services
The Library hosts three discussion groups. Find dates and details for these programs in the Library newsletter and in our online calendar.
Our Children and Family Services Department is committed to literacy services for children of all ages and abilities. Visit and find out about all the wonderful programs and services which are available for the young population.
Let the library obtain multiple copies of a book for your book club.
Enjoy an extended loan period and save the cost of purchasing the book.
Call the reference desk with the following information:
- Contact person and phone number
- Book title and author
- Number of copies needed
- Date discussion will take place
A librarian will notify your contact person when the books are here.
Readers can pick up their copy at the Northport Reference Desk.
Allow approximately one week for the ordering process to be completed.
Read books and win prizes in our Adult, Teen and Children's Reading Clubs.
These clubs are offered in the summer and winter each year.
The Adult Reading Club runs in the summer and winter. Participants choose a book, in any format and submit forms in person or online, to win a raffle ticket for a Grand Prize.
The Children and Family Service Reading Club runs in the summer for children preschool through grade 6. Children report their books to library staff and participate in a wide range of summer themed activities.
The Teen Reading Club runs in the summer and winter. Participants receive raffles for each book review submitted for a chance at one of several themed prize baskets.
Wowbrary provides you with a web update and weekly email alerts listing the latest books, movies, music CDs, and audio books purchased by the Library.
