A Park Ranger from Fire Island National Seashore will introduce you to this small shorebird that nests on the sandy beaches of Fire Island and other locations across Long Island. The piping plover is listed as an endangered species in New York State, therefore it is important to learn how to safely share the shoreline with this unique bird. Registration is underway.
