Join Margaret M. Johnson, author of fourteen cookbooks, for a program that includes tea history, teatime recipes, and a discussion of modern-day variations on afternoon teas. Enjoy a formal tea with sandwiches and savories, scones and tea breads, and decadent sweets. Along with the tea, a nonalcoholic sparkling beverage will be served. Ms. Johnson's cookbooks will be available for purchase and signing. For a festive touch, patrons should bring their own favorite teacup and saucer. Come meet members of the Friends of the Library and learn about ways in which the Friends help support the mission of the Northport-East Northport Public Library. In-person registration begins September 27 at the Northport building. (Open to Northport-East Northport Public Library cardholders only). A nonrefundable fee of $25.00 (cash or check made payable to "The Friends of the Library") is due at the time of registration.
