Dr. Shabiah Martin, colorectal surgeon at Northwell Health, will discuss, preventing, diagnosing, and treating colorectal cancer as well as explain the differences between colon and rectal cancer. Risk reducing strategies, the importance of colonoscopy, and the roles of surgery in colorectal cancer will be covered. Registration is underway. This program is co-sponsored by the public libraries in the town of Huntington.
