Social Security was signed into law in August 1935. President Franklin D. Roosevelt considered the creation of Social Security to be his greatest domestic achievement. Join Jeffrey Urbin, Education Specialist at the Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, to explore the creation and passage of the Social Security Insurance Act, one of the most important pieces of social legislation in American history.
