This presentation by independent scholar Ceylan Swenson is an introduction to Northport and East Northport’s African American history. Learn the stories of Black patriots, preachers, teachers, and families who made their homes here from the 1660s to the 1960s, and explore their continuing legacies across the Town of Huntington and beyond.
