Actress Irene Dunne was one of talking pictures first major stars. Coming from the world of Broadway musicals, Dunne proved to be a versatile actress, singer and comedienne. Her films included musicals, dramas and screwball comedies: Cimarron, Show Boat, The Awful Truth, Love Affair, and more. Lecturer Marc Courtade will examine her life and career from her early days, to Hollywood, to her service as U.N. delegate, and philanthropist.
