Long Island-born Patti LuPone is an American actress and singer, best known for her work in stage musicals. She is a two-time Grammy Award winner and a three-time Tony Award winner. LuPone began her professional career in 1972, and has been active in musicals, plays, concerts, solo performances, and film and televison ever since.
