Perry Grand, member of the Onondaga Turtle Clan, traditional storyteller, and cultural educator, will lead a lively program on the history of this misunderstood holiday. Based on the only primary source document that chronicles the First Thanksgiving, and using a quiz-style format, the participants will learn accurate and culturally appropriate information about the English settlers at Plymouth and the Wampanoag people who inhabited the area. Registration is underway. This program is cosponsored with the public libraries in the Town of Huntington.
