Professor and author Christopher Verga will examine the tribal nations of pre- and post-colonial Long Island and contrast the popular myths with the realities of indigenous Long Island societies. Using primary sources including land records and early pictures, he will explore the complexities of colonial interaction with tribal nations. Registration is underway.
